Holiday Retirement was founded in the United States in 1971 but always had an eye on serving the friendly seniors to the north with its one-of-a-kind independent retirement lifestyle. The first Holiday Retirement community in Canada, The Victorian, opened in Vancouver, B.C. on August 1, 1987. Today, there are 34 total Holiday Retirement communities across seven provinces.

Alberta (6 communities)
As the main gateway to the Canadian Rockies, Alberta boasts the kind of terrain that beckons outdoor enthusiasts from around the world. Holiday Retirement is proud to have six Alberta Communities with locations in St. Albert, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge and two in Calgary.
British Columbia (5 communities)
Blessed with breathtaking landscapes, BC is home to a geographical diversity that lends itself to a vast array of activities and adventures. Holiday Retirement offers five communities in British Columbia, including Prince George, Kelowna, Nanaimo, and two in Victoria.
Manitoba (3 communities)
Manitoba sits smack dab in the middle of Canada, located at North America’s geographic centre. The province is bordered by Saskatchewan to the west, Ontario to the east, and to the south by North Dakota and Minnesota. Holiday Retirement has two communities in Winnipeg, the capital city, and one in Brandon.

Saskatchewan is located in western Canada between the Canadian provinces of Alberta to the west and Manitoba to the east and just to the north of the U.S. states of North Dakota and Montana. Holiday Retirement has three communities in Saskatchewan.

From the exhilarating heights of the Bay of Fundy tides, dubbed One of the Marine Wonders of the World, to the magnificent white sand dunes of Bouctouche, New Brunswick is home to some of the most spectacular Natural Wonders in the Maritimes. Holiday Retirement communities reside in Fredericton, the capital, and Saint John, a popular port for cruise ships.

Historic Quebec is Canada’s largest province and second most populated. Residents enjoy the beauty of four distinct seasons as well as a unique history and rich culture. Holiday Retirement has one community in Quebec, located in Saint-Laurent.
